IDK... 🙂. I didn't ask.
The food was delicious and the service great.
Yes ma'am! Amazing like everything else they serve!!!
Yes, we serve chicken and waffles!
No delivery. Try seeing if Uber Eats will deliver for you.
I dont believe so. Was on Triple D.
They actually have a sign out by the door that says they can not accommodate groups of 8 or more because of how busy they get.
I’ve been here twice. The food is really good here!
Talk about a great spot for brunch and dinner! I've been coming here since 2013. My husband used to live two blocks down from Folk Art when we first started dating, and it was daaaaangerous. We were here at least once a week for dinner and one day of the weekend for brunch. I know it's cliche to say, but you honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is always amazing, quick, and friendly. And they're not afraid to fix something if it doesn't come out the way that was requested. It can get pretty busy on Sat and so can have long wait times, so I'd recommend to go Sunday between 1-3. Overall, great place to go to whether you live in the area or are passing through.
I love this place. I write this review as I savor the last few morsels of their mac and cheese. This is no ordinary Mac and cheese, it's presented with a caramelized bottom that adds texture to this already perfectly balanced Mac. Now on to the grits with it's bits of corn and hints of other flavor enhancers. For the first time in my life I didn't need to add butter to the grits. As for the remainder of the menu, I must say I enjoyed a good ole game of "what's that" as countless picture perfect dishes flew from the kitchen to hungry customers. These dishes looked straight out of a commercial with cascading syrup and perfect plating. Attentive and above all pleasant staff and you may even hear some singing coming from the kitchen. I recommend this spot all the way. I'll be back.
Friendly staff, good quality food
Excellent breakfast choices! Varied menu. Really amazing atmosphere, artsy vintage comfortable! The gravy and biscuit was good, large biscuits that were a bit dry but gravy was tasty! The pimento cheese hashbrowns were delicious! Must go back for these! Had options to have them 7 ways! Sweet potato pancakes are soft and fluffy and not too sweet! Such a fun place to meet for any meal! Parking in the back. Nice neighborhood, off the beaten path near the Jimmy Carter Library.
Good food. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food reflects all the above. Need to work on their cocktails, too sugary. But we’ll be back!
Service was quick even though they were busy. Food was good but the biscuit was super dry and crumbly. Drink was delicious and more than made up for it, though. Would definitely go back. Only real issue was the valet parking. Seemed silly and unnecessary. If you're gonna have valet parking, at least have enough valets so you're not blocking the street.
The food was great as always. Service is fast and friendly. We ordered the sweet potato pancakes. The portion sizes are perfect. Would definitely recommend this spot for brunch.
Great brunch spot. Rarely hang out in this area, but was a memorable meal.
Long wait but worth it. Great brunch, get an apple bitters mimosa while you wait.Parking limited, take Uber. Or walk.
My best friend and I shared the chicken & biscuits plate and we were so happy we did because it is huge! And also very delicious.Service was great. Super chill And cool place...Loved the ambience! Easy street parking. Clean restrooms. We will come back for their pancakes and waffles the next time we visit Atlanta.
Great food and value. The service was great and food came out quickly. Table had food particles from the previous patrons were visible. We wiped it off. We sat near the rear bar and there was trash of the floor as well. Would visit again.
Amazing ! Service and COVID precautions are amazing The servers are so friendly and the food is AMAZING
The place is nice, comfy, not overdone. The fried pickles appetizer was about the best fried pickles I've had. I had the fried chicken breast, eggs, gravy thing, forgot the name, forgot the dish as well. It was so-so. I asked for the gravy on the side since southerners are obsessed with pepper, it came of course all over it (I dislike pepper). She offered to make it again but I personally despise sitting there with no food, and then being the only one eating after it arrives. The ginger drink was awesome. I'll give it another try I guess some day.
While the service was great and I loved the atmosphere, overall it was a pretty average brunch. I ordered two eggs over easy with turkey sausage, grits and toast. Eggs were good, though the turkey sausage was pretty low quality. We also were up charged for “in-house jelly” but we’re not told it would be extra (same with subbing fruit for grits). The French toast was also okay. The eggs Benedict with salmon was probably the best order, though the food was about the quality you would expect for a very standard brunch you could make at home (nothing that special).
I have heard about this place from friends but has never had the opportunity to visit. I found some time this past week and took advantage as my time to check them out. I went as soon as they opened, so finding seating was pretty easy. I was greeted by a friendly server as soon as I sat down. I ordered the Foul Play, which is Chicken and Waffles. The food came out rather quickly, putting the overall service for this establishment as an A+ in my book. My food was good. The chicken was seasoned decently and my eggs were cooked exactly as I asked. Not sure what they used but I absolutely fell in the love with the syrup they used. Overall I would visit here again. They have some other good options that I look forward to trying in the near future.
Holy mother of God...this food is delicious! We had the Randy for an appetizer which is bacon dipped in pancake batter—-haaaalelujah. Then I had cinnamon bun French toast which was melting in my mouth. The inside is also ADORABLE and in the best location. I’ll definitely be back!
First time here. Valet on site. We were there late Saturday afternoon...after the brunch crowd. No wait. We sat on the comfortable, covered patio. Our server was great...made some good recommendations. The menu has so many great selections to choose from. The food was very good and we were all pleased. Will definitely return as often as possible.

Great food. Great service.Gotta get there early to beat the brunch rush.
Just finished eating a takeout order from them i had the chicken and waffles and my husband had the french toast. The worst breakfast i have had ever!!! like ever!!! I have had better waffles from a gas station!! The waffles literally had no taste. Actually they tasted like cardboard. The chicken was burnt!!! Everything was burnt! The eggs are powedered eggs!!!! The hashbrowns also burnt and no flavor. Like does this restaurant even know about salt?? I usually don't give reviews, but this has been my worst experience ever!!! The only thing that was ok (edible) was the french toast and even that was subpar. Overall just terrible experience. Will not be coming back!!! Ever!!! This place doesn't even deserve a star!
Good food, but the service is not the best. I've been here twice and the waitresses I've had had the worst attitude. The place has great ambiance and music though
Not impressed at all. Ordered the complete breakfast and it was an instant flashback to having breakfast in my high school cafeteria. Everything was bland and dry. Plate came out with a chip on the corner sharp enough to cut. At the end I had another’s friend order on my bill that had to be separated. Nice ambiance but has potential on improving and playing closer attention to details. Giving a extra star because of their COVID measures which is great for customers and employees so expect to wear mask even while you’re at your table until you order your food.
Love this play, not good this time. Maybe a new chef😔
I love the grits! I love the eggs! There is just so much to love at this place. I love coming here for brunch, don’t even mind the wait. I just walk around the neighborhood until a table is ready. As long as they keep doing what they are doing, I will be there.
The sweet potato pancakes and French toast are great.
Very nice spot, wonderful staff and good selection of food. Definitely going back again.
Went for the first time to the Decatur location, and the food was excellent. Chicken pot pie was light and creamy, with a hard punch of onion carrots and peas. The lamb Kafka was just the right amount of spice, and the fried green tomatoes had perfect texture. Service was slow, but I expect that will improve after they've been open a while longer.
I wanted to take my girlfriend for Saturday brunch, but when I called ahead to make a reservation, I was answered by a rude woman on the phone who was frustrated by the fact that I even asked for a reservation. I then asked if there was a wait, to which she curtly responded "I don't know what time you are coming in" and I responded "now" and she said no and hung up before I could even get another word in. I then went to 'The Brasserie and Neighborhood Cafe at PARISH' instead, and I experienced: - better service - better food - and better coffeefor essentially the same price.I highly recommend going there instead. If Folk Art wants more customers, hire people who actually care about customers. And maybe take some advice from PARISH's chef.
Good food with generous portions. Very nice staff. Usually a wait but they have a coffee bar you can visit to sip while you wait. I take points away because all the offer from a coffee cream perspective are those little plastic cups which is an insane amount of plastic waste given the amount of people they serve. Also, no outdoor seating.
Great atmosphere and cheerful service despite it being exceptionally busy for a Monday due to the holidays. Most of the food was very tasty although the tomato soup was more like marinara than soup. Definitely will return!
The food was awesome, and the menu made it hard to order because there were so many good options! The Roasted Pork Chili Verde breakfast plate was filling and very tasty. The decor, open windows, and bright atmosphere made this a really unique stop for us in Atlanta. Have had brunch here the last couple of trips to Atlanta. Service is great. Wait isn't long if you get there before 11am and now they help you park the car - that was really needed cause this place gets so packed. Need to go back for dinner. Cash or card accepted. Get the beignets.
Very well organised and convenient restaurant. They offer big portions and for economical rates. I liked the meals a lot and the staff were very personal and informative. Highly recommended.
This place is both unique and familiar. Love the atmosphere, down to earth with a splash of sophistication. Will be eating here again.
Simple, tasty food. I recommend the s’mores waffle! Gets really busy so I’d recommend getting there when it opens or just be prepared to wait.
The eggs benedict were just a big mush ball. The spinach and mushrooms were good but the little muffin was soaked with hollandaise that I didn't care for. Maybe I wasn't hungry enough. The waiter was cool. Idk. My beer wasn't cheap and it was a 12oz instead of the pint. One of those places that depends on location and hanging a bunch of quirky junk on the wall for atmosphere, so they can charge a couple bucks more. Welcome to East Atlanta.
Went for brunch around 1pm. There are 3 parking spots in the front otherwise you use valet. 30 min wait! The seating is a little tight, especially since it was so crowded. Expansive, low cost menu! Ordered the veggie omelette and the lobster omelette. Food arrived within 10min. It tasted fresh and flavorful. Fast and friendly service, casual dining, we will return to try other menu offerings!
This place is awesome! I HIGHLY recommend the pigs in a blanket. The grit fritters are okay, but they would be better if they were served hot. I also got the country fried which was alright when hot but definitely needed more country gravy. The chicken on it was perfectly cooked though. I also got the sweet potato waffle. I wasn't crazy about the peach compote but the chicken was perfectly cooked and the waffle was hands down the best waffle I've ever had. Definitely recommend.
I had the fried pickles, and the "foul play" which is their chicken and eagles with whiskey peach compote on top. Heavenly. I'm on a road trip but I'm thinking of moving here just so I can eat this every day.
Went around 4:30 on a Saturday. Plenty of parking available behind the block of stores and restaurant. Sat quickly and brought glasses of ice water. Ordered the meatball burger and lobster rolls; both with the flat-top Mac and cheese. Food didn’t take long to prepare. Burger was cooked well and very flavorful. Lobster rolls had a good amount of lobster. Neither of us were overly impressed with the Mac and cheese; not a fan of the cheese they used. Would like to return for the brunch or to try other menu items. Very “hipster” atmosphere, but family friendly.
Eclectic, artsy, down to earth feel. Friendly staff. Old school decor (like 50s ish) i got an omelet and latte. The food could use a little more seasoning for my taste but over all good stuff. Good mix of music.
We're working through a list of restaurants in Atlanta we've been wanting to eat at. I remember noticing the menu at this one and thinking that a few items sounded really good.At the time I noticed this place, I was eating meat far more often than I do now. This is not a particularly ideal place for vegetarians and I sincerely wish there was at least one vegetarian entree on the menu. The beet burger was merely, OK. A beet burger is a nice, novel idea, but it was bland. The waffle we ordered was $3.00 more than we anticipated (and $3.00 more than similar items). It wasn't a waffle worth paying what we paid, although it would have been good at $8.99 rather than $11.99 (a single peanut butter and banana waffle costs more than a burger with an upgraded side!)However service was good and the grit fritters were great. We have a lot of other places to visit in Atlanta, and this won't be one we'll return to.
The only brunch I seemingly enjoy! Because their temporary close I tried a competitor and they don’t compare to Folk Art I’ll gladly be happy once their doors re open.
Our server, a young woman from LA -- unfortunately I've forgotten her name, was phenomenal! Brunch was great and the mixed drinks were really good too. It's like your grandma's cooking, if your grandma had a James beard award hiding out somewhere.
I absolutely love Folk Art! It’s one of my favorite breakfast spots in the city! The Foul Play aka chicken and waffles is one of the best things on the menu. My server Anna went above and beyond for me and my friends, she’s was super knowledgeable and even cracked a few jokes! I’m not sure why the other review mentioned her in a bad light. I didn’t get those vibes at all! The entire staff just seemed “family like”, even the general manager, Victoria helped out by bringing us our food! I worked in restaurants throughout college and all of my 20’s and there’s something refreshing about a manager helping their servers out in any capacity! 1000% recommend!
Great food and atmosphere! Chris, our server, was very friendly and attentive and even made recommendations for my wife from the menu. It is hard to pick a highlight from the meal because it was all so great.
I had the steak it sandwich and my husband had the folk southern fried. I don't remember our server's name, but she was great. The food was very very good, my only complaint was the flat top mac and cheese. It just tastes like oil. But we got a side of fries that were just amazing. If I lived in Atlanta, that would be a regular stop for me.
I stopped by for brunch on Friday, and I was impressed with the entire experience. It's a cozy spot in a nice location. My server, Brittany was very friendly, and helpful. I'm from out of town, and she answered my questions and provided excellent service. I had the Foul Play, which is chicken and waffles, with a side of hot peach, and it was wonderful. I cleaned the plate! L5P is an 8 minute walk through a quiet neighborhood with beautiful trees. I'll definitely return next time I'm in town.
